Every Thursday this summer various Broadway shows will be participating in a series of concerts at Bryant Park. This week one of the shows participating is none other than my personal favorite: Memphis. I have mentioned this show in the past and highly recommend going to see it. Now is a great chance to get a sample of what you would be getting for the price of your admission. The concert series is free and features a wide selection of the current shows running on Broadway. This week is Phantom of the Opera, Billy Elliot, Memphis, South Pacific, and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular (I guess it will be a little bit of Christmas in July). Arcade Fire Announce Tour, Headlining Madison Square Garden
If you’ve been waiting for the chance to see Arcade Fire live, well your wait is officially over. The band announced a tour that, among other places, will hit Madison Square Garden in August. There haven’t been many other US dates announced as of now, but the list has been growing for the past couple of days, so if you don’t see your city then don’t panic just yet. The dates that have been announced so far are:

Oh, and for those curious about the opening act, that was announced too: Spoon. The same band that headlined Radio City in March. Me thinks whatever these tickets (which go on sale June 12th) cost is going to be worth it.
